Maybe I'll pick up where I left off.

Then again, I don't really care to read about the sexual escapades of a 400 year old wizard.

I think that your slip does mean that you're more comfortable. But it seems more likely that you are not comfortable with yourself, and that your repressed gayness is trying to break free. It was also kind of obvious Dumbledore was gay in the seventh book when she describes his affair Gindlewald.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3421046934953813196.post-33780854222710105792009-09-15T15:46:24.950-07:002009-09-15T15:46:24.950-07:00Hmmm...maybe that's exactly why she did it, fo...Hmmm...maybe that's exactly why she did it, for people like you who need a little nudge once in a while to help them realize just how far they have come in their personal journey.Brucehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16484144734545098472noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3421046934953813196.post-23683815977123493172009-09-10T16:02:05.433-07:002009-09-10T16:02:05.433-07:00when you said US i took it as the fans and viewers...when you said US i took it as the fans and viewers of the HP series...not as the gay community. good save though.danniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06767436645666296908noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3421046934953813196.post-5002811260513375802009-09-10T04:03:39.357-07:002009-09-10T04:03:39.357-07:00It's probably just marketing. The idea of Dumbledore being gay is just comical ... because you're right, it adds nothing to the story, and it takes nothing away, it's just funny, maybe even absurd. Regardless, the idea of him actually saying "I Like Men" in his voice just made me laugh, so thanks!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3421046934953813196.post-35213616851650531582009-09-09T05:08:58.353-07:002009-09-09T05:08:58.353-07:00Hey P.P., I seldom comment on you, but this calls ...Hey P.P., I seldom comment on you, but this calls for it. As far as I followed the Potter-Saga, there is no hint that especially Prof. Dumbledore could be queer. I´d rather opt for this arrogant blond boy. So saying that Dumbledore was gay seems just to be something J.K Rowling must've done for her own private backstory of the characters, which she apparantly had made up a whole lot of that was never written about.

Maybe her idea was that making a beloved character gay would normalize being gay in the minds of her readers and making it something positive.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
